'''413 Edburga''' is a typical [[Asteroid belt|Main belt]] [[asteroid]]. [[Max Wolf]] discovered it on 7 January 1896 at [[Heidelberg Observatory]].<ref name="jpldata" /> The origin of the name is unknown.<ref name=Schmadel2009/> This asteroid is orbiting the [[Sun]] at a distance of {{val|2.58|ul=AU}} with a [[orbital period|period]] of {{convert|1516.3|days|years|2|abbr=on|disp=out}} and an [[orbital eccentricity|eccentricity]] of 0.34. Its [[orbital plane]] is inclined at an angle of 18.7° to the [[plane of the ecliptic]].<ref name="jpldata" />
Analysis of the asteroid's [[light curve]] based on [[photometry (astronomy)|photometric]] data collected during 2011 shows a [[rotation period]] of {{val|15.78|0.02|u=hours}} with a brightness variation of {{val|0.53|0.02}} in [[apparent magnitude|magnitude]]. This is consistent with prior results.<ref name=Warner_2012/> This is classified as an [[M-type asteroid]] in the [[Tholen classification|Tholen system]] and X-type in the [[SMASS classification|Bus and Binzel taxonomy]],<ref name=Shephard_et_al_2015/> with a moderate albedo and generally featureless [[near infrared]] spectra. An absorption feature has been detected at a wavelength 3&nbsp;μm, suggesting this is W-type.<ref name=Shephard_et_al_2015/> It spans a diameter of {{val|31.95|2.8|u=km}}.<ref name=Hardersen_et_al_2007/> [[Radar astronomy|Radar]] echoes are bimodal, suggesting a bifurcated structure that is likely a [[Contact binary (small Solar System body)|contact binary]].<ref name=Shephard_et_al_2015/>
