'''Arthur Champernowne''' (1580–c. 1650), of [[Dartington]], near [[Totnes]], [[Devon]] was an English politician.  He was the son of Gawine Champernowne and Roberte de Montgomery.<ref name=":0">{{Cite book |last=Weis |first=Frederick Lewis |title=Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists Who Came to America before 1700, 8th Edition |publisher=Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. |year=2004 |isbn=978-0-8063-1752-6 |location=Baltimore, MD |pages=10}}</ref>  He married Bridget Fulford,<ref name=":0" /> daughter of Sir Thomas Fulford, of Great Fulford in Devon<ref name=":0" /> on 17 June 1598 in Dunsford.<ref name=":0" />  His son was Captain Francis Champernoun of York, Maine.<ref name=":0" />
