The '''Electoral district of Counties of Murray, King and Georgiana''' and from 1851, '''Counties of King and Georgiana''' was an electorate of the partially elected [[New South Wales Legislative Council]], created for the first elections for the Council in 1843.<ref name=1843Act>

}}</ref> The electoral district included the south western counties of [[Murray County, New South Wales|Murray]], [[King County, New South Wales|King]] and [[Georgiana County|Georgiana]].<ref name=1843Act/> Polling took place at [[Queanbeyan]], [[Yass, New South Wales|Yass]] and [[Wheeo]], which were within the counties and the nearby towns of [[Braidwood, New South Wales|Braidwood]], [[Goulburn, New South Wales|Goulburn]] and [[Bathurst, New South Wales|Bathurst]].<ref>{{cite news |url=https://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article12906295 |title=Polling places |newspaper=[[The Sydney Morning Herald]] |date=14 July 1848 |accessdate=28 May 2019 |page=2 |via=Trove}}</ref> The towns of Queanbeyan and Yass were removed from the district with the expansion of the Council in 1851 and combined with [[Braidwood, New South Wales|Braidwood]] and [[Goulburn, New South Wales|Goulburn]] to form the [[Electoral district of Southern Boroughs (NSW Legislative Council)|Southern Boroughs]]. The rural area of the County of Murray became part of the [[Electoral district of Counties of Murray and St Vincent|Counties of Murray and St Vincent]] and leaving the district to cover the remaining rural areas of the Counties of King and Gergiana.<ref>{{cite act

At all three elections, there was only one candidate who was therefore elected unopposed. In 1856 the [[Unicameralism|unicameral]] Legislative Council was abolished and replaced with an elected [[New South Wales Legislative Assembly|Legislative Assembly]] and an appointed Legislative Council. The district was represented by the Legislative Assembly [[Electoral district of King and Georgiana|electorate of King and Georgiana]].
