The '''Furnace Hill Brook Historic and Archeological District''' in a [[historic district (United States)|historic district]] in [[Cranston, Rhode Island]].
The site features archaeological industrial remains dating from the early 19th century, as well as a series of prehistoric Native American settlements, dating from the Late Archaic to the Early Woodland periods.<ref>{{cite journal|url=http://www.connarchaeology.org/ASC61.pdf|journal=Bulletin of the Archaeological Society of Connecticut|volume=61 |year=1998|publisher=Archaeological Society of Connecticut|title=Archaeological Investigation at Site RI 2050 in Cranston, Rhode Island: A Native American Steatite Processing Site|access-date=12 December 2022|last1=Waller|first1=Joseph N.|last2=Leveillee|first2=Alan|pages=3–16|editor-last=Lavin|editor-first=Lucianne}}</ref>  One major locus of the Native settlements, a knoll at the confluence of Furnace Hill Brook, Church Brook, and Meshanticut Brook, was destroyed in 1967 by the construction of a highway cloverleaf (the interchange between [[Interstate 295 (Rhode Island–Massachusetts)|I-295]] and [[Rhode Island Route 37]]), although [[salvage archaeology]] was successful in obtaining some artifacts.<ref>{{cite journal|last1=Waddicor|first1=Arthur|last2=Mitchell|first2=Morris|title=Furnace Hill Brook Site: A Salvage Dig|url=https://vc.bridgew.edu/bmas/118/|journal=Bulletin of the Massachusetts Archaeological Society|volume=30|issue=2 |year=1969|via=[[Bridgewater State University]]|access-date=12 December 2022|pages=4–10}}</ref>  Further up Furnace Hill Brook are the remains of an iron foundry established in 1812.
