[[Internally displaced person]] [[list of internally displaced persons camps in Nigeria|camps]] in [[Borno State]], [[Nigeria]] were centers accommodating [[Nigerians]] who had been [[Forced displacement|forced to flee]] their homes but remain within the country's borders. Kashim Shettima, the state's [[Governor of Borno State|governor]], said{{when|date=May 2020}} all IDP camps in the state would be closed down by 29 May 2017 because "it is becoming a problem on their own."<ref name=":1" />
In January, the [[Nigerian Air Force|Air Force]] mistakenly [[Rann bombing|bombed]] an IDP camp in [[Rann, Borno|Rann]]. In March, Boko Haram [[2017 Maiduguri attack|bombed]] an IDP camp in Maiduguri.
