The '''Inva''' ([[Russian language|Russian:]] Иньва) is a river in [[Perm Krai]], [[Russia]], a right tributary of the river [[Kama (river)|Kama]].<ref name=perm>[http://enc.permculture.ru/showObject.do?object=1803748164 Inva in encyclopedia of Perm Krai]</ref> It begins in the [[Upper Kama Upland]] near the border of [[Kirov oblast]] then flows through [[Komi-Permyak Okrug]] and into [[Kama Reservoir]], forming Invensky Bay.  The main tributaries are Velva and Kuva (left), Yusva (right).
The river is {{convert|257|km|mi}} long with a [[drainage basin]] of {{convert|5920|km2|mi2}}.<ref name=gvr>[http://textual.ru/gvr/index.php?card=181117 «Река ИНЬВА»], Russian State Water Registry</ref> It is frozen from early November to late April.
The town of [[Kudymkar]] is along the Inva River.

The name of the river is formed from the [[Komi-Permyak language|Komi-Permyak]] words “инь” (woman) and “ва” (water), which can be translated as “female water”.
