During [[World War II]], it was under German military occupation from early July 1941 until June 1944.{{sfn|Megargee|Dean|2012|page=1701}} About 200 Jews remained there at the start of the occupation.{{sfn|Megargee|Dean|2012|page=1701}}
In August 1941, all Jews were placed in a [[Jewish ghettos established by Nazi Germany|ghetto]] consisting of several houses.{{sfn|Megargee|Dean|2012|page=1701}} The ghetto was liquidated in October and the Germans shot more than 200 Jews near the [[Svislach (Berezina)|Svislach River]].{{sfn|Megargee|Dean|2012|page=1701}}
