The Manitou Lake Picnic Area has a {{convert|1|mi|km}} nature trail the encircles Manitou Park Lake<ref name="Salcedo">{{cite book|author=Tracy Salcedo|title=Colorado Springs|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=zpQ6f_CvMZ8C&pg=PA65|publisher=Rowman & Littlefield|isbn=978-0-7627-5398-7|page=65|chapter=Manitou Park Lake}}</ref> and a historic stone picnic shelter at the south end of the lake.
Another trail, Centennial Trail, is an {{convert|8|mi|km}} long hiking and biking trail that starts at the Manitou Lake Picnic Area and ends at Woodland Park, and {{convert|4.2|mi|km}} of the trail connects the picnic and camping areas. ==Camping==
There are five [[Campsite|campgrounds]] along Highway 67: Colorado, Painted Rocks, South Meadows, Pike Community, and Red Rocks. Pike Community and Red Rocks are group campgrounds. There are volleyball courts, softball fields, horseshoe pits. and an amphitheater for large group functions.
