According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the township has a total area of 34.8&nbsp;square miles (90.1&nbsp;km{{sup|2}}); 34.4&nbsp;square miles (89.1&nbsp;km{{sup|2}}) of it is land and 0.4&nbsp;square miles (1.0&nbsp;km{{sup|2}}) of it (1.09%) is water.
==Demographics==
As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 220 people, 85 households, and 62 families residing in the township. The [[population density]] was 6.4 people per square mile (2.5/km{{sup|2}}). There were 112 housing units at an average density of 3.3/sq&nbsp;mi (1.3/km{{sup|2}}). The racial makeup of the township was 95.00% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.45% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 4.09% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.45% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 4.55% of the population.
There were 85 households, out of which 22.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 3.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.9% were non-families. 22.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 3.03.
In the township the population was spread out, with 22.7% under the age of 18, 9.1% from 18 to 24, 22.7% from 25 to 44, 29.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females, there were 107.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 112.5 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $26,875, and the median income for a family was $33,750. Males had a median income of $24,250 versus $17,917 for females.
