The local [[church (building)|church]] is one of the local landmarks. It is dedicated to [[Roch|Saint Roch]] and the path leading up the hill from Šmarje pri Jelšah is lined with fourteen [[chapel]]s representing [[Calvary]] and the [[Stations of the Cross]].
