== Operations ==
Coal seam gas extraction within the Surat and Bowen Basins of Queensland, Australia forms the basis of the company's main operations. QGC has constructed a [[LNG train|coalbed methane liquefaction plant]] on [[Curtis Island National Park|Curtis Island]] off the coast of [[Gladstone, Queensland|Gladstone]] in [[Central Queensland]]. The company has built a {{convert|540|km|adj=on}}, {{convert|42|in|mm|-1|adj=on}} diameter pipeline from [[Miles, Queensland|Miles]] to Gladstone, making it the longest buried pipeline of its type in Australia.<ref>(16 July 2008).
