Following the [[revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir]], the former [[state of Jammu and Kashmir]] was bifurcated into the [[Jammu and Kashmir (union territory)|union territory of Jammu and Kashmir]] and the [[Ladakh|union territory of Ladakh]].
