Shirotori-Kōgen Station was opened on August 1, 1955 as {{nihongo|'''Futsukamachi Station'''|二日町駅||}}. Operations were transferred from the [[Japan National Railway]] (JNR) to the Nagaragawa Railway on December 11, 1986.
