The '''St. Johns Signal Tower Gas Station''', located in the [[St. Johns, Portland, Oregon|St. Johns]] neighborhood of north [[Portland, Oregon|Portland]], [[Oregon]], is listed on the [[National Register of Historic Places]].<ref name="OPRD list">{{cite web|title=Oregon National Register List|publisher=Oregon Parks and Recreation Department|url=http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/HCD/NATREG/docs/oregon_nr_list.pdf|page=40|date=June 6, 2011|accessdate=December 14, 2012|archive-date=June 9, 2011|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110609105953/http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/HCD/NATREG/docs/oregon_nr_list.pdf|url-status=dead}}</ref>  It was built and opened in 1939 as a [[filling station|gas station]] for the [[Signal Oil & Gas|Signal Oil Company]].  It was in operation as a gas station until 1984, but changed brand from Signal Gas to '''Hellman's Golden Eagle Gas Station''' in 1954 and, in turn, became a [[Chevron Corporation|Chevron]] station in 1965.
