In 2009, archaeologists announced the discovery of an [[Iron Age Europe|Iron Age]] (late [[Hallstatt culture|Hallstatt]] or early [[La Tène culture|La Tène]]) [[tumulus]] burial, apparently of a [[Celts|Celtic]] nobleman.
