==Geography==
Yens has an area, {{as of|2009|lc=on}}, of {{convert|9.5|km2|mi2|sp=us}}.  Of this area, {{convert|5.18|km2|mi2|abbr=on}} or 54.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while {{convert|3.66|km2|mi2|abbr=on}} or 38.5% is forested. Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 4.1% and transportation infrastructure made up 2.4%.  Out of the forested land, 36.6% of the total land area is heavily forested and 1.9% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees.
