Also, carrying out CTI tests with a setup as described in IEC 60112 on a ceramic sample at voltages above 600 (up to 1000 V) are still pass, indicating that in principle the method is capable.However, there is a debate ongoing, if the arching that can happen at higher voltages is influencing the test result on polymers.
