That is not true. The Duran brand is owned by a German company called DWK Life Sciences GmbH, the "D" standing for Duran (DWK was split off from Schott as Duran GmbH, later to become DWK. The Duran brand was transferred, Schott still uses it under license for tubing). Csonka/Trendglas doesn't even mention Duran on their website https://www.trendglas-jena.com/en/
