The referenced source does not give any reference to works of Bill Sanders aside from a citation, so it cannot be claimed as a valid source. Only the 77th Regiment was formed in Aleppo (Halep) so even if all regiment was consisted of Arabs (which was unlikely due to the demographics of the city at the time built up from Turks/Turcomans, Kurds, Arabs, and Yazidis) it would only make up roughly 1/3 of the total manpower of the division.)

The 19th Infantry Division was a formation of the Ottoman Army, during the Balkan Wars and the First World War.

Formation

Commander: Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Kemal[1]
  • 57th Regiment: Major Hüseyin Avni[1]
    • 1st Battalion Captain Ahmet Zeki
    • 2nd Battalion Captain Ata
    • 3rd Battalion Captain Hayri
  • 72nd Regiment: Major Mehmet Münir[1]
  • 77th Regiment: Major Saip[1]
  • 39th Artillery Regiment: Major Halil Galib (Tekaki)[1]

The 18th and 27th Regiments were also assigned to the division later in the Gallipoli campaign.[2]
