Creates a category of the form "YYYY beginnings" or "YYYY endings", where YYYY is a 2-, 3- or 4-digit year. e.g.
- Category:95 beginnings Green tick
- Category:1123 beginnings Green tick
- Category:2019 beginnings Green tick
- Category:79 endings Green tick
- Category:486 endings Green tick
- Category:2017 endings Green tick
The template detects whether the page is a "beginnings" or "endings" category, and configures the output accordingly.
Usage

No parameters needed.
Errors
If this template is used on an invalid page, then an error message is displayed, and the page is categorised in a tracking category:
- Category:Errors reported by other category header templates (population: 0 pages)
Note that this tracking page is shared with other category header templates)
Errors include:
- The page is not in the category namespace
- The page's title does not take the form "YYYY beginnings" or "YYYY endings"
