- ↑ India topped the group after rest of the teams from their group withdrew. But India withdrew from the tournament after having qualified as group champions, due to several reasons such as financial, travel distance, team selection etc.
- ↑ After having withdrawn from previous tournament, FIFA did not allow India to take part in the next edition of the world cup, hence India were not allowed to participate in the qualification tournament as well.
