It's assumed that the huge majority of Mexican photographers have carried out some photography in Mexico, so this category simply subsumes Mexican photographers as a subcategory; Mexican photographers are not additionally listed individually below. As for non-Mexican photographers, they are listed if they have done a substantial amount of work in Mexico (at a minimum, one book devoted to Mexico) or if their work in Mexico was of unusual historical or other significance. Non-Mexican photographers who have merely made short visits to Mexico and had miscellaneous photographs published should not be specified below.
