Matevž Lenarčič is an extreme light aircraft pilot from Slovenia. He is also an alpinist, paraglider, environmentalist, and a photographer. He has climbed all over the world and among others reached the top of 8051m Broad Peak in Himalaya and climbed extreme routes in Patagonia, like Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre. He is author of thirteen books (nature, photography, climbing and flying), some of them awarded and translated in several languages. He is also founder and director of Aerovizija d.o.o. Besides "normal" flying in Europe, mostly for aerial business purposes (vertical and oblique photography), he has also made some extreme flights Worldtrannsiberia 2002: 28 000 km Round the World - Wingsforever 2004: 38 000 km Africa 2005: 17 000 km Round the World - GLWF 2012: 91000km North Pole - GLWF 2013: 17 000 km Round the World – GLWF 2016: 42 172 km Mediterranean – GLWF 2017: 17 500 km Asia – China – GLWF 2018: 22 000 km Cape Verde – GLWF 2021: 8 000 km Cape Verde - GLWF 2022: 8 000 km Himalaya - GLWF 2023: 21000 km He has flown for more than 4600 hours all over the world (more than 110 countries), mostly with his ultra light aircraft and other single engine aircraft. He holds PPL – private pilot license with IFR – (instrumental flight rules) rating, night qualification, and ULPL – ultralight pilot license.
