Ashley Williams (born 25 October 1996) is a Jamaican sprinter.[1]
Early life
She attended Holmwood Technical High School in Jamaica.[2]
Career
In April 2024, she was selected as part of the Jamiacan team for the 2024 World Athletics Relays in Nassau, Bahamas.[3] She ran the third leg of the women's 4x400m relay as they won their second qualifying heat to secure qualification for the 2024 Olympics.[4] In June 2024, she finished fifth at the Jamaican Olympic trials over 400 metres, having ran a personal best of 51.16 seconds in the semi final.[5] In July 2024, she was officially selected for the Jamaican team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.[6]
Personal life
She has been nicknamed the "Jamaican Allyson Felix" due to a perceived similarity in their running style and physique.[7][8]
