- For the purposes of this category, "south-central Pacific" is defined in accordance with the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions (WGSRPD); that is, it is defined as constituting the following countries and islands: Cook Islands, Easter Island, Line Islands, the Marquesas, the Pitcairn Islands, the Society Islands, Tuamotu, and the Tubuai Islands.
