This category contains articles related to the native lichens of New Zealand, following the WikiProject Plants' use of the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions (WGSRPD), and adopted here for use with lichen flora. "New Zealand" is as politically defined, and is divided into the following phytogeographic regions: Antipodean Islands (the New Zealand Subantarctic Islands, excluding the Snares Islands / Tini Heke), Chatham Islands, Kermadec Islands, New Zealand North and New Zealand South (including Snares Islands / Tini Heke). Lichen taxa of the lowest rank are always included; higher taxa are included only if endemic.
