Category:Racially motivated violence against African Americans

This is a list of incidents, racists, or hate groups that have committed violent attacks targeting people because they were black or African American (particularly sub-Saharan African descent). This group also includes victims of such violence, including white people who were attacked for trying to help black people win equal rights in the civil rights movement. It is NOT for incidents of violence in which the victims just happened to be Black or African American coincidentally.
