This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme.

Being former articles, these redirects have revision histories of prior edits, but they should not be history merged with their targets. This is because in most cases they were originally created in good faith as separate distinct articles, without the user having knowledge of the pre-existence of another article on exactly the same subject, just under a different title. This situation is different from a cut-and-paste move where a history merge would be required.
