Food Organics and Garden Organics, often shortened to FOGO, is a new waste collection system based in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.[1][2] The program has started on Monday, 11 November 2024.[1][3] It is aimed to reduce food scraps from going into landfill.[4]
Facilities
Citizens in the City of Parramatta government region would have received a green kitchen caddy and new Yellow Recycling, Green Food Organics and Garden Organics, and Red Landfill Bins.[1]
Operation
FOGO is operated by the Parramatta Council, and is operated in the towns in the City of Parramatta government region. The red and green bins will be collected weekly, while the yellow recycling bins will be collected fortnightly.[1]
