Franz is an upcoming biographical film directed by Agnieszka Holland starring Idan Weiss as Franz Kafka.[1]
Premise
According to a statement from the director, Franz will highlight fragments of the life of Franz Kafka (Weiss) and examine his present-day legacy in his hometown of Prague and beyond.[3]

Production
The Franz screenplay was written by Holland and Marek Epstein based on a story by Epstein and Mike Downey.[3] Principal photography began on April 12, 2024, in Prague and moved to Berlin at the end of May.[2]
