Gerard Rennick People First (GRPF), also known as the People First Party (PFP), is an unregistered Australian political party. It was founded on 10 September 2024[1] by Queensland senator Gerard Rennick after he was disendorsed by the Liberal National Party in July of the same year.

History

In July 2023, Rennick was disendorsed from being on the Coalition's senate ticket for the 2025 Australian federal election.[2] In September 2024, he quit the party to found PFP,[1] allowing him to "get [his] name above the line on the Senate ticket.[2]

Policies

Policies of People First includes creating a public bank for infrastructure funding, raising the tax-free threshold to $40,000 AUD, and making changes to childcare funding; Rennick has stated opposition to increasing federal funding of childcare, saying it infects children with the "woke mind virus".[3][2][4]
