Pterochaeta is a monotypic[2][3] plant genus in the Asteraceae family,[1] endemic to Western Australia.[4][3] It was first described in 1845 by Joachim Steetz and its only species is Pterochaeta paniculata.[1][5] It has been found to be a symptomless host of the pathogen, Phytophthora cinnamomi.[6]
