Christopher John Snowdon is a British author and freelance journalist. He is particularly known as a vocal opponent of government intervention in areas such as tobacco, alcohol, and obesity.
Early life
Snowdon was born in North Yorkshire in 1976 and studied history at Lancaster University, graduating in 1998. He was later awarded a Ph.D in economics from the University of Buckingham.[1]
Career
He has written for the Spiked website, The Daily Telegraph[2] and The Spectator,[3] as well as the Conservative Home website. Snowdon is "Head of Lifestyle Economics" at the Institute of Economic Affairs,[1]
