Not to be confused with Template:Self-reference or Template:Circular.

Usage

The default words "article or section" are replaceable: {{Self-reference cleanup|table}} produces:

A date parameter can also be used to inform other editors of the time the tag has been in place: {{Self-reference cleanup|article|date=January 2025}} produces something like:

This template will categorize articles into Category:Articles containing self-references.
