Žitenice (German: Schüttenitz) is a municipality and village in Litoměřice District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,600 inhabitants. Žitenice lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-east of Litoměřice, 15 km (9 mi) south-east of Ústí nad Labem, and 56 km (35 mi) north of Prague.
