African Americans |
---|
This is a list of Black creatives who have been nominated for a Tony Award for outstanding achievement in theater. While some American people of African ancestry prefer "Black," and others prefer "African American"; "African American" is considered a less appropriate umbrella term for people of African ancestry worldwide because it obscures other ethnicities or national origins. Thus, "Black" is a more inclusive umbrella term.
