Marehra, is a city and a municipal board in Etah district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Marehra is also famous for Khankah -e - Barkatiya Dargah. Marehra is also known as the Capital of Sunni Muslim, across the world thousands of devotees gather in Marehra for the event of Urs. Marehra was known as Chandan Nagar, and the dominated area of Dacoit. Once upon a time Mughal King Akbar arrived and freed the town from the terror of Dacoit, and stabilised (Mar - Hara)

Marehra is located at coordinates 27.45°N 78.34°E / 27.45; 78.34, 21.5 kilometres (13 mi) from the district headquarters Etah, 255 kilometres (158 mi) from the state capital Lucknow and 200 kilometres (124 mi) from the national capital Delhi.
