Paralamyctes monteithi is a species of centipede in the Henicopidae family. It is endemic to Australia. It was first described in 2001 by palaeontologist Gregory Edgecombe.[1][2]
Distribution
The species occurs in north-east Queensland.[3] The type locality is the south end of the Bluewater Range, some 45 km north-west of Townsville.[2]
Behaviour
The centipedes are solitary terrestrial predators that inhabit plant litter and soil.[3]
