Early life

Imam was born on 1 January 1960.[1] His father, Hossain Toufique Imam, was an adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.[2]

Career

Imam was elected to parliament in 2014 from Sirajganj-4 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate.[3] On 9 September 2017, Imam was injured while getting out of a running train after dropping off his wife in Pakshi Station.
